Cape Verde Attracting More Visitors

The number of tourists visiting Cape Verde increased in 2008 despite the global economic downturn. Visitor numbers to hotels were up by 6.5% in 2008 on the previous year according to statistics compiled by the National Statistics Institute (INE). Approximately 330,000 guests stayed in hotels on the archipelago last year, up 6.5% on the previous year, whilst other properties such as self-catering lets and bed & breakfasts saw an increase of 27.5%.  (Source: http://www.homesgofast.com/view_news/1434/)
